361° Joker 2 GT Review: A Stronger Signature Shoe for Nikola Jokić

The reason is simple — consumers now have lower budgets, while the market offers more diverse choices. This forces brands to release products that are more attractive and higher in quality. For 361 Degrees, there was no better option than relying on their ace player: Nikola Jokić.

From Joker 2 to Joker 2 GT

The released Joker 2 is the standard version, available in many eye-catching colorways. Its CQT Quick cushioning performs well, providing great responsiveness and support on the court. As a signature shoe, the Joker series has already taken on the role once held by the Big3 Switch series: balanced performance with no obvious weaknesses. Nevertheless, the technology still feels somewhat insufficient.

Upgraded CQT Extreme Cushioning

The launch of the Joker 2 GT proves that 361 is capable of producing truly high-quality products. This time, they introduced the upgraded CQT Extreme cushioning, which is thicker than the setup used in the Joker 1 GT and delivers even better responsiveness.

We have tested both the CQT Extreme and Zoom Max systems. The former provides a very similar feel to the latter, while also being more flexible.

Stability and Support

For stability, 361 added a midfoot support system featuring an L-shaped TPU and a carbon plate, while the heel area is reinforced with two TPU structures of different densities. These technologies significantly improve stability, although they sacrifice some agility in return.

Upper Material Upgrade

The mesh upper has also been upgraded to a special material combined with a soft exterior layer, aiming to reduce weight while maintaining consistency and comfort.

Final Thoughts

The Joker 2 GT is an impressive and worthwhile product released by 361 in response to intense market competition. It brings stronger cushioning, better structure, and a more premium performance setup. However, how successful it will ultimately become still depends on long-term feedback and consumer response.
