As the NBA playoffs intensify, Anta unveils the ZAP 3.0 – a radical evolution of Donte DiVincenzo’s signature team shoe, rigorously tested under postseason pressure.

Since the birth of the ZAP series in 2023, the series has become Di Vincenzo's imperial boot. Despite its non-signature positioning, its personalised design and star binding have formed a strong brand memory point.
The first generation of ZAP, as the debut of designer Yan Yan joining Anta, attracted attention with its formulaic appearance: the three-dimensional embossed Anta logo and deconstructivist uppers shaped a unique visual language, and with Yan Yan's past experience of handling Li-Ning's Blitz series, the ZAP quickly gained a large number of footwear on CUBAL, and it was regarded as a new benchmark for all-round striker's practical shoes.
Entering the ZAP2.0 era, the designers continued the design concepts: the shaped midsole anti-torsion piece and the innovative midsole form show technical breakthroughs, but limited by the single colour scheme and ESG version of the break.
Superimposed on the exposure of Di Vincenzo's transfer to the Timberwolves caused by the attenuation of the second generation of the sound volume did not meet expectations.
While the market is still reminiscing the sharpness of the first generation, the subversive ZAP 3.0 has already made a strong debut.

The newly revealed ZAP 3.0 presents a significant design shift: ditching the anti-formula route of the previous two generations in favour of a TPU-wrapped construction.
The heel window pays homage to the classic Crazy Explosive sidewall shape, and the full release of the Nitrogen midsole is achieved by removing the Eva wrap. The branding is even more subtle: the dual-density woven logo on the front and back is visually echoed by the miniature hot-melt logo on the toe, continuing the series' tradition of weakening the logo.
In terms of core technology, the 3.0 inherits the force transfer concept of the previous model and upgrades it: the toe box is hollowed out to optimise the response to the stroke, and the shaped front torsion plate enhances the propulsion performance. 
The most ground-breaking design is the asymmetrical heel split, which achieves dynamic support by dividing the deformable zones - rigid TPU on the outside to limit excessive deformation, and elasticated zones on the inside to enhance flexibility, which significantly improves the stability of quick-stop changes of direction and jump shots.
With DiVincenzo frequently wearing the exclusive PE colourway, the team shoe is poised to take off. After the Hayward series has faded from the market, whether ZAP3.0 can carry the mission of revolutionising Anta's basketball matrix with a new design language, its playoff performance will be the key verification.
When the formulaic and rebellious design reaches a new balance, this exploration of the evolutionary logic of basketball shoes is worth looking forward to.
