Shoe care should be tailored to the specific characteristics of the shoes. The most common types of sneakers are mesh, suede,  leather and synthetic leather. The care methods for each type are as follows

Mesh Upper

Tools: Mesh cleaner, soft brush

Method: For white cleaners or light-colored fabrics, it’s best to use whitening soap. After leaving it for a while, clean it and then place it in a ventilated area or near a fan to air dry.

Notes: Do not exposure to direct sunlight or excessive force can damage the shoe upper.

Common issues with mesh shoes: The soles have turned yellow, holes in the mesh

Suede

Tools: Professional suede cleaner, soft brush, suede brush

Method: Dip a suede brush in one direction, taking care not to get the suede surface wet. For white rubber soles, you can use a stain remover pen, an eraser, or a toothbrush dipped in toothpaste to clean them.

Notes: Do not avoid direct sunlight, excessive force, and getting the upper wet.

Common Issues with Suede Shoes: Fading, suede damage, and lining damage

Full-grain leather / Faux leather / Synthetic leather

Tools: Professional cleaner, soft brush or sponge, towel

Method: Use a sponge dipped in an appropriate amount of active cleaning solution to dry-wipe the shoe upper, then place it in a well-ventilated area.

Notes: Do not expose to direct sunlight, over-scrubbing or soak for extended periods.

Common issues with shoes: Oxidation of the rubber sole, damage to the leather upper, and damage to the lining.

In addition to cleaning your shoes, you should also pay attention to how you store them on a daily basis; providing your sneakers with a suitable environment will help extend their lifespan.

Storage Tips

For shoes that won’t be worn for an extended period, we recommend packing them in airtight bags or shrink wrap and adding a desiccant to minimize oxidation caused by the upper coming into contact with air.

Use Shoe Trees

Place supports (such as shoe trees or cardboard) inside the shoes during storage to prevent the uppers from being compressed.

Tips for sneaker Care

Use the proper Shoes: Wear basketball shoes for playing and running shoes for running to extend the life of your shoes.

Rotate Your Shoes: Keep 2–3 pairs of shoes on hand and rotate them so each pair has ample time to rest and dry. This prevents excessive wear tear and damage from sweat. Avoid wearing the same pair every day; give your shoes enough time to recover (at least 24 hours) to prevent material fatigue and odors.
